The Spot – Local 149
Local 149 is a neighborhood joint in the Citypoint section of South Boston, a location with historic roots, distinctive character, and heart and soul.
We exemplify what it means to be “Exceptionally Local” through our no-boundaries approach to serving eclectic cuisine, hand-selected beers, and creatively crafted cocktails. Our dishes are made from the freshest ingredients from local purveyors and producers in the area. Whether you share our scratch made bar snacks or dive into a brilliant entrée, you’ll know that our passion for food knows no bounds, but our roots remain local.
Along with our unique, savory cuisine, Local 149 offers a fun and communal atmosphere. You can grab a seat at the bar with friends for craft beers and cocktails, sit near the cozy fire in a booth with family for Sunday brunch, or celebrate a special occasion with a big group.
Enjoy our fireplace while checking out our iconic art collection, sipping on a Pinky’s IPA, munching on modern takes of classic American dishes and letting our dedicated staff tend to your every need.
The Neighborhood – Southie
Home to the only ocean front beach in Boston, M street Beach, Fort Point has been a destination for South Boston residents since the 19th century. It includes Castle Island and Fort Independence. Fort Independence was fortified in 1634 and played a huge role in the Revolutionary War. We try to continue the revolution every day at Local 149 through our cutting edge food, drinks, decoration, and service.
